They’re Back!

At this time of year in Arizona, we share our gardens with many different species of possibly harmful creatures.   It’s important we don’t put our hands or feet in areas we cannot see.  For safety we use a soil probe or long-handled garden tool to check the area first if needed.

Not all rattlesnakes will rattle when approached as they are wary and do not want to get eaten.  Keep a sharp eye out as they are also very good at camouflaging themselves.

Other species lurking in dark corners are scorpions and black widow spiders.  Wear your gloves and just be cautious.  Although scary, most of these animals, insects, and spiders are not out to get you.  They are simply trying to eat and find shelter.
